Service Description

By regularly servicing your car's air conditioning system, you can ensure that it operates efficiently, provides optimal cooling, and avoids more costly repairs down the road. During an air conditioning (AC) service for your car, several steps are typically performed to ensure that your car's AC system is working efficiently. Here's what generally happens during an AC service: Visual Inspection: The technician will start by visually inspecting the entire AC system including hoses, belts, connectors, and components for any obvious signs of damage or leaks. Checking Refrigerant Levels: The technician will check the refrigerant levels in the AC system. Low refrigerant levels can indicate a leak or another issue. Recovering Refrigerant: If needed, the technician will recover any remaining refrigerant from the system for recycling. This is done using specialized equipment to safely remove and store the old refrigerant. Vacuum Test: The AC system will be evacuated using a vacuum pump to remove any air and moisture. This step ensures optimal performance and prevents potential damage to the system. Leak Detection: The technician will use a dye or electronic leak detector to check for leaks in the AC system. Common areas prone to leaks include hoses, connectors, and the compressor. Cleaning Components: The AC components, such as the evaporator and condenser coils, may be cleaned to remove dirt, debris, and contaminants that can affect performance. Recharging Refrigerant: Once everything is checked and any necessary repairs are made, the technician will recharge the AC system with the correct type and amount of refrigerant as specified by the manufacturer. Testing: After recharging, the AC system will be tested for proper operation. This includes checking the air temperature coming from the vents and ensuring that the system is cooling effectively. Final Inspection: The technician will perform a final inspection to confirm that the AC system is functioning correctly and that there are no more leaks or issues.
